Spring
Spring is a beautiful time to visit the Montreux and Vevey area.
Along the lake in Montreux (Montreux Lake side), or visit Morges (Morges fêtes des tulipes), and of course not to be missed up in les Pleiades Les Pléiades NARCISSI IN BLOOM (Narcissus Spring Trail)
End of spring the swimming pool might be ready, some guests used it when the garden still had snow but most of us will wait for middle of May when we will be able to raise the water temperature close to 25° thanks to the heat pump. Other options will be to go the the thermal bath in Lavey
Summer
Summer days will be the perfect time to enjoy the water sports but also to go up in the mountains for walks.
In July the Montreux Jazz Festival will be the busiest time of the year.
In August vevey will have different options and one not too miss is the Vevey Sreet Artist Festival
For a familly, a trip to chateau de gruyère and summer sledging in Moléson or Via ferrata with the possibility to go to the top for a panoramic view, will be a good day trip
Autumn
In Autumn the days are pleasant especially for walks in the vine yards between Montreux and Lausanne. The changing colours and sunsets are beautiful.
Vevey image is also a good option
The terrace will still be perfect to use during the day or to watch the best sunsets.
Winter
In the winter the ski slopes are not far from the house. The house is located on a main road guaranteeing an easy access to the house.
The house is located 400m above the lake, with the altitude of 740m, snow is not guaranteed around the house, but the view and the sunsets are beautiful in the winter. A small train stop 300m from the house gives the possibility to visit the local ski resort without using the car (Ski resort Les Pleiades). Other larger ski resorts are accessible by car.
